Super Scrapped Robot
two bearded guys doing primarily digital stuff.
We, Malte Buttjer and Philip Wagner met at the hfk, the university of arts in bremen, Germany. While studying in the digital media program way to long, we wanted to learn more about making video games and because there was no course that fit our needs, we just did one by ourself with the help of Professor Dennis Paul. From this course came our first published game, Steamclash, a two player real time strategy game for iOS. We both developed and designed websites before university and continued to do so even after getting our degree. So it was only natural for us to develop our games with web technologies.
We did two game jams together; Molyjam wich produced Smartphones on a plane and the Gameboy Jam where we did Scrapped Robot. The latter became Super Scrapped Robot, our second released game, a retro action twin stick shooter for iOS, Windows, Mac, Linux and the Browser.
